No. 919. To all whom these presents shall come Know ye ~ I, Anson Jones
President of the Republic aforesaid by virtue of the power vested in me by law
and in accordance with the Statues of said Republic in such case made and
provided do by these presents Grant to Abraham L. Kuykendall, his heirs or
assigns Forever One League of land, situated and described as follows: In
Bexar County. Beginning at the North East corner of survey No. 20 in Section
3, of one half league and half Labor on the Hondo Creek, surveyed for William Bryan.
Thence North five thousand varas to a stake, from which a Mesquite bears South
20° West 9 varas and another bears South 60° East 92 varas. Thence West
twenty five hundred varas to the Hondo Creek, five thousand varas to a stake,
from which a Mesquite bears South 32° East 8 varas, and another bears South
91° West 20 varas. Thence South four hundred varas to Seco Creek, at five
thousand varas a stake from which a Mesquite bears South 29° East 19 1/2 varas,
and another bears South 88° West 4 1/2 varas. Thence East at thirteen hundred
ninety four and one half varas the North West corner of the aforesaid survey
No. 20 in Section No. 3. At five thousand varas the place of beginning. Hereby
relinquishing to him the said Abraham L. Kuykendall and his heirs or assigns
Forever, all the right and title in and to said land heretofore held and possessed
by the government of said Republic and I do hereby issue this letter patent for
the same.
In Testimony whereof I have caused the great Seal of the Republic be
affixed as well as the Seal of the General Land Office.
Done at the City of Austin on the Twenty seventh day of June
one thousand eight hundred and forty five and the Year of the
Independence of said Republic the Tenth.
