Know all men by these presents that we Alfred Turner and Susan his wife of the
county of Lincoln and State of Missouri for and in consideration of the sum of Two hundred
dollars to us in hand paid by James McCulloch of the County and State aforesaid the receipt
whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained and sold and do by these presents grant
bargain and sell unto him the said James McCulloch his heirs and assigns forever the following
described piece or parcel of land situate in the County of Lincoln aforesaid to wit:
The West half of the North West quarter of Section 110, Thirty-two Township, No. Forty-nine
West of the base line Range No. two West of the fifth principal Meridian containing eighty acres
being the same that we hold by certificate from the Recorder's Office at Palmyra, Missouri bearing
date September 20th 1837 and No. 18842.
To have and to hold the same piece of Land unto him the said James McCulloch his heirs and
assigns forever and the said Alfred Turner do for myself my heirs executors and administrators
covenant and agree with him the said James McCulloch his heirs and assigns that I will warrant and
defend the title to said land above granted unto him the said James McCulloch his heirs and assigns
against all lawful claims whatsoever.
In Witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands and affixed our Seals the 23rd day of December
in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty.
