the Whon Cemetery.
Mrs. R. Van Dohlen laid to rest at Rockwood
Miss Jose Coburn was born in 1859 in Little Rock, Arkansas.
At the age of five she came with her parents, to East Texas.
When only fifteen years old she was married to Sam Fleming,
a native of Alabama. To this union were born nine children, two
of which survive, Sid Fleming of San Antonia and
Mrs. W. O. Barnett
of Trickham. There are 30 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Her husband died August of 1903 and sixteen years later she was married
to R. Van Dohlen at Fairview.
For 53 years she had been a faithful member of the Christian church.
The last two yeas of her life was spent as an invalid in the home
of her daughter, Mrs. Barnett, where she passed away last Monday.
She was a dear, mother, wife and friend. Her trials made her life the sweeter.
She was buried Tuesday afternoon at Rockwood cemetery, where Elder Salyer
of Bangs, held the service, and the Santa Anna Undertaking Company being
in charge of the funeral arrangements.
