ALBERT GARLAND DAYLONG, 79
ALBERT GARLAND DAYLONG age 79 died Sunday, January 9, 2005 at Brownwood
Regional Medical Center. Graveside services will be held 2:00
p.m. Wednesday, January 12, 2005 at Coleman Cemetery
under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home. Mr.
Daylong was born April 5, 1926 in San Angelo,
Texas the son of Meridith Albert and Georgia Fay Chairs
Daylong. After retiring from Chrysler Services,
he began a new career with Wal-Mart. As a World
War II Veteran, he became spokesman for the W.W.II
Memorial, and appeared in many Wal-Mart
commercials. His kindness and wit will be truly missed.
Survivors include his wife, Lola Ray
Daylong; three sons, James Michael Daylong, Patrick Lynn
Daylong and Timothy Curtis Daylong; one
daughter, Mary Beth Daylong; one sister, Georgia
Green; grandchildren, Haley Daylong, Sean Daylong, James
Daylong, Dean Daylong, Andrew Daylong and Robin Daylong; one
Great-granddaughter, Raynee Ember Dunnick.
Family visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00 at
the funeral home.
