ROBERTS HOMESTEAD SITE SOUTH OF THE RED RIVER


John Roberts, Sr. and his brother Luke Roberts migrated to Texas by 1817.
They settled south of the Red River, and established homes for their families.
John and Luke were killed at the hands of hostile Indians in 1827.

John Roberts, Jr. received Land Patent from the Texas General Land Office
on the land his father homesteaded.

Heirs of John Roberts, Sr.'s Land Patent was located in Hunt County.
Heirs of Luke Roberts' Land Patent was located in Lamar and Cass Counties.
