Certificate #48; Claim #3: Isaac Myers
Mississippi Land District
March 28 1835
Be it remembered that on this 28th day of March 1835 personally appeared before
the Register and Receiver of the Mississippi Land District, Isaac Myers of lawful age
who being duly sworn, deposeth and saith that he resided on Red River near Fort Towson
in what was called Miller County in the tract of country ceded to the Choctaw Indians ---
The Deponent farther states that he had at said place about thirty five acres of Land
in cultivation in the year 1818 and farther states that he had the same ground in
possession and cultivation on the 24th day of May 1828 and that he had there a dwelling
house in which he resided with his family consisting of a wife and four children and
also other necessary out Houses and that during the month of October 1828 he this
deponent removed East of the line of said Choctaw boundary in Johnson County where
he still resides at this time and that he is a Farmer by occupation.
