Know all men by these presents that I John M. Kuykendall of the State of Texas and
County of Victoria only living child and Heir of A. L. Kuykendall and Ann Eliza Kuykendall
his wife both deceased, for the sum of One Thousand dollars received as my full satisfaction of
Jesse B. Kuykendall also of said Victoria County do hereby grant, bargain, sell, convey,
alien, release and confirm unto him said J. B. Kuykendall all my right title, claim and
interest in and to the headright league of land of the said A. L. Kuykendall, patented to him
as the head of the family by the Republic of Texas on the 27th day of June A. D. 1845 situate in
Medina County and for more particular description reference is made to the Letter Patent
aforesaid, the said League was surveyed and located for the said A. L. Kuykendall
in his lifetime and patented in his name after his decease.
To have and to hold the said land with all its appurtenances ~ unto the said J. B. Kuykendall
his heirs and assigns forever.
