Know all men by these presents that I Jesse B. Kuykendall a citizen of the County of
Victoria and State of Texas for and in consideration of the sum of One thousand Dollars
to me in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have this day granted,
bargained, sold, aliened and conveyed and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell,
alien and convey unto John M. Kuykendall also a citizen of said State and County all
my right, title, claim and interest in and to the headright league of land of A. L. Kuykendall,
deceased, patented to the said A. L. Kuykendall as the Head of a family by the
Republic of Texas on the 27th day of June A. D. 1845 situate in Medina County and for a
more particular description of which reference is made to the Patent aforesaid. The said
League was located and surveyed for the said A. L. Kuykendall in his lifetime and
patented in his name after his decease.
To have and to hold the said Land with all its appurtenances unto the said
John M. Kuykendall, his heirs and assigns forever.
