Testimony taken. July 12, 1806, JOSEPH COTTLE, sworn, says that
claimant settled said tract of land, in September, 1803, built a house on the
same, planted peachstones and sowed appleseeds; that he did also clear
four or five acres of land, and fenced in the same; and that he did, in the
beginning of 1804, move his family on the same, and has actually inhabited
and cultivated it to this day; and had, on the 20th December, 1803, a wife
and five children.
September 6, 1810: present LUCAS, PENROSE, AND BATES,
commissioners. It is the opinion of the Board that this claim ought
not to be granted.
