John Roberts petitioned for the appointment of Guardian to Catherine Roberts
minor heir of Sally Roberts dec'd by his attorney Wm. M. Williams and it being
proved to the satisfaction of the Court that said Roberts is entitled by Law
to the appointment of Guardian, It was therefore ordered by the Court that said
John Roberts have the appointment of Guardian according to his prayer and
that he be authorized to apply to the Clerk of said Court in time of vacation the same
as though he should apply in Term Time. The Bond to be for Six Thousand dollars.
John Roberts petitioned by his attorney Wm. M. Williams, for the appointment of
Guardian to Richard Porter minor heir of Julia Porter, dec'd and having proven
to the satisfaction of the Court, that he the said John Roberts is entitled to
said appointment. It was therefore ordered by the Court that said John Roberts
be appointed Guardian of Richard Porter minor heir of Julia Porter, dec'd and
that said Roberts be authorized to apply to the Clerk of this Court and enter
into Bond of Six Thousand Dollars as the Law directs, and receive a copy of this
order in time of vacation.
In accordance with an order previously made by this Court John Roberts, Junr
appeared at the Clerks office and entered into Bond of Three Thousand Dollars
as guardian of Mary Ann & Catharine Owens and gave as security John Emberson
& William M. Williams who severally acknowledged the execution of the same.
On the 13th of October 1838, by previous order of Court John Roberts appeared
in the Clerk's office and entered into Bond of Three Thousand Dollars and gave
as security William M. Williams and John Emberson as Guardian of Nathaniel Porter
minor heir of Julia Porter, dec'd. All of whom severally acknowledged the
execution of the same.
