Know all men by these presents that I Johnathan F. Guice of Hunt County Texas for
and in Consideration of the sum of Two Hundred and Nine Dollars forty cents to me
in hand paid by Henry Cornelius of Said County and State the receipt whereof is
hereby acknowledged do hereby bargain sell alien and convey unto the said H. Cornelius
all my right title interest and claim together with the rights title interest and claim
of Catherine Mattock also the right, title interest & claims of Jefferson J. Guice in and
out of a survey of one League of land lying on South Sulphur in said County of Hunt &
one labor in said County lying on the North side of said League, both surveys by virtue
of the League and Labor Headright Certificate of John Roberts first class issued by the
board of land Commissioners for Red River County. Said Johnathan F. Guice,
Jefferson J. Guice & Catherine Mattock being children and heirs at law of
Kissiah Guice wife of Guice, said Kissiah Guice being the Daughter and
one of the heirs at law of said John Roberts, and said Johnathan F. Guice swore that
he will & doth forever warrant defend the right and title to the lands herein above
Conveyed to said Henry from and against the legal claims of all and every other
person or persons, whatsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part
thereof for himself & legal representatives to said Cornelius his heirs or assigns
forever.
In Testimony whereof said Johnathan F. Guice, doth hereunto set his hand and affix his
scroll for seal this the tenth day of May A.D. Eighteen hundred and Fifty Eight.

Before me W. S. McClure an acting Notary Public for Fannin County personally appeared
Johnathan F. Guice to me well known and acknowledged the execution of the foregoing
Deed to Henry Cornelius for the considerations and purposes therein contained and
explained.
To certify which I hereto set my official Signature and Seal Notarial this
tenth day of May A.D. Eight hundred and Fifty Eight.
