This Indenture made the tenth day of May in the year
of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty six.
Between Archibald Lafferty and Mary his wife of the County
of Clermont and State of Ohio of the first part and Freeman Elstin of the same place party of the second part. Witness that the said party of the first part in
consideration of the sum of two hundred 63 Dollars
sixty one cents of lawful money of the State of Ohio
secured to be paid by the said party of the second part,
the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted
bargained sold aliened enfeoffed and confirmed and by these
present do grant bargain sell alien infeoff and confirm
unto the said party of the second part his heirs and
assigns forever all that certain tract or parcel of land
situate lying & being in the County of Clermont and
State of Ohio, containing forty six acres, twelve perches,
and on the waters of the Little Miami River and bounded
as follows. Beginning at a sugar tree in the leading from the Miami
to the Goshen and Milford Road and corner to Isaac Elstin.
Thence along of said Elstin S. 61 E. 22 ½ poles to a stone
corner to Elstin. Thence with his boundary 35 W. 12 poles
to a stone, thence South 59 East 30 poles to a stone,
thence N. 31 E. 12 poles to a stone thence, S. 61 E. 14 ½
poles to a white oak, thence S. 8 W. 44 poles to a stone
and dogwood sapling, thence S. 70 W. 82 poles to a stone,
thence, W. 20 ½ W. 35 poles to a stake, thence N. 43 8°
E. 97 3/100 poles to the Beginning. Together with all and singular the hereditaments and
appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining
and the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders,
rents, issues and profits thereof and all the Estate
right title Interest claim or Demand whatsoever of the
said party of the first part either in law or in equity
of in and to the above bargained premises with the said
hereditaments and appurtenances. To have and To hold the said premises above particularly
mentioned and described to the said party of the second
part his heirs and assigns forever, and the said Archibald Lafferty doth for himself his heirs executors
and administrators, covenant and grant to and with the
said party of the second part his heirs and assigns that
they the said party of the first part, are lawfully
seized in fee of the aforesaid granted premises that
they are free from all encumbrances that they have good
right to sell and convey the same --- the said party of
the second part as aforesaid and that he will and his
heirs executors and administrators will warrant and
defend the same to the said party of the second part
his heirs and assigns forever, against all lawful demands
of all persons, Provided Nevertheless that I the said Archibald Lafferty my heirs executors and administrators
shall well and truly pay to the said Freeman Elstin his
heirs executors administrators or assigns the full and
just sum of forty two Dollars and thirty five cents
payable the twenty fourth day of December next ---
Also another note for two hundred twenty one dollars
and twenty six cents payable the tenth day of May
One thousand eight hundred twenty seven with lawful
interest for the amounts paid then this deed as also
the several notes bearing even date with these presents
given by me to the said Freeman Elstin. Condition to pay
the same sum and Interest at the time aforesaid shall be
void otherwise to remain in full force and virtue. In Witness hereof I the said Archibald Lafferty and Mary
his wife in testimony that he relinquishes all her rights
of dower & alimony in and to the above described premises
hereunto set our hands and seals the day and year first
above written.

On this tenth day of May one thousand eight hundred and
twenty six Archibald Lafferty and Mary his wife the
grantors named in the within Mortgage Deed of Conveyance
personally appeared before me a Justice of the Peace
within and for said County and severally acknowledged
the signing and sealing of the same as their act and deed
for the purposes therein expressed, and the said Mary Lafferty having been made know to the contents of
said deed, and being by me examined separate and apart
from her husband declared that she voluntarily and of her
own free will and accord without fear or coercion of her
husband did and now doth acknowledge the signing and
sealing thereof. Given under my hand and seal the day and year first
