Will of Joshua Turner
Plymouth ~ Court of Probate April 2nd 1816
Be it know that the foregoing Instrument purporting to be the last
Will & Testament of Joshua Turner late of Pembroke
in said County yeoman deceased being presented to me for
probate and having examined the Subscribing Witnesses thereunto
& no objection being offered to the probate therefore, I declare
that said Instrument be allowed as the last Will and Testament
of the said Joshua Turner
accordingly ~

To all people to whom these present shall come Joshua Thomas
Esq. Judge of the probate of Wills & in the County of Plymouth
within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts sendth Greetings~
Know ye that on the second day of April anno Domini 1816,
the Instrument hereunto annexed (purporting to be the last
Will and Testament of Joshua Turner late of Pembroke
in said County yeoman deceased) was presented for probate by
Laban Leavitt the Husband of Sela Winslow Leavitt the
Executrix therein named, then present Seth Walker & William
Foord, Junr. two of the Witnesses thereto subscribed who made
oath that they saw the said Testater sign, seal & heard him
declare the said Instrument to be his last Will & Testament &,
that they with Nathaniel Smith subscribed their Names together
as Witnesses to the Execution there of in the said Testater's
presence & that he was then (to the best of their Judgment) of
sound and disposing Mind; wherefore, I do prove & approve &
allow the said Instrument as the last Will and Testament of the
before named deceased & do commit the administration, thereof
in all matters the same concerning & of his Estate whereof he died
seized & possessed in said County unto Laban Leavitt in right
of his said wife Sela Winslow Leavitt well & faithfully to execute
the said will & to administer the Estate of the said deceased
according thereto who accepted of his said Trust & gave Bond
with Surities as the Law directs for the payment of said deceased's
Debts & the Legacies in said Will given & he shall render an
account (upon Oath) of his proceedings when thereunto Lawfully
required.
In Testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my hand & seal
of office the day & year above written. ~~~~~
